It is located about 30 miles off the coast of Singapore. It sits in Straight of Singapore which is a narrow straight between the Malaysian peninsula and the island of Sumatra.

How do you get there?
You fly into Singapore and then catch a ferry from Singapore to Bintan. Flying time from LA to Singapore is about 20 hours. It’s about a one hour ferry ride from Singapore to Bintan island. Typically I fly in from LA spend a couple of days in Singapore before heading out to Bintan. These couple of days in Singapore are useful to recover from the long flight and jetlag, do all the shopping of provisions we will need in Bintan (more about this later in the FAQs), waiting for all my family members to convene in Singapore from all parts of the world, and also spending some time with my friends in Singapore.
